About Cheryl Carley, C.G.A.

Cheryl Carley entered the accounting field in 1980 and started in the public accounting field in 1983. In 1984 Cheryl entered the Certified General Accountant program. Cheryl graduated in 1991 with the Board of Governor's award recognizing academic achievement. Cheryl is one of the few graduates who made it all the way through the CGA program on the first try.

Cheryl worked her way up to senior accountant in a North Battleford public accounting firm where she was employed for 13 years until her lay-off in September, 1996. Cheryl handled various accounting functions including audits, review and compilation engagements, corporate and personal tax returns. Audit engagements Cheryl was responsible for included the Battlefords Union Hospital and the Battlefords Health District and various other major clients. Cheryl also has excellent computer skills and was largely responsible for the systems with her previous employer.

Cheryl was laid off in September of 1996. After taking some time off to have a baby, Cheryl opened her own public accounting practice in February of 1997. Since that time, Cheryl's practice has grown at a tremendous pace. Cheryl offers quality services at a reasonable price. Cheryl has gone to great lengths to keep her overhead costs down and has chosen to pass that saving on to her clients.
